Exciting NEW BOOKS in my Summer BLOG

Spring has been manic and has merged into summer in 2026. So it is time for a Summer Blog!

So much has happened and is happening; it’s time to keep you all updated.

Although we are all melting in the heat this summer, it’s still been a very productive time for me, Uther, with new characters, a new series of books, and other projects all starting in 2026.

Spring was a wonderful time for writing and creating a brand-new series of stories. One night, I had a dream about a bear who was helping children. I woke up needing a pen urgently, so I could write down all the ideas flooding through my mind. From that moment, the stories came racing out.

One of my newest series, Bennie Bear’s Dream Store, has just launched. It’s a magical place where children visit when they fall asleep to pick the dream they’ll have that night. It’s been such a joy to write, and I already have lots more adventures planned, each filled with exciting new dream ideas.

Do you have a wonderful dream idea that Bennie Bear could turn into a story? I’d love to hear it—you might even inspire a future adventure!

Over the past six months, I’ve been talking with charities to discover how my stories can help children even more. Through these conversations, I’ve learned that charities are always looking for new ways to help the people they support, while also facing the ongoing challenge of raising money.

To help, I’ve created a Resources page on my website. It’s completely free for charities to join and gives them a place to share what they do, explain how they help, and provide advice and information on a wide range of topics. It’s a totally free service for anyone to access, an information Hub. The page is growing a little more each week, and I’d love you to take a look. If you know of a charity that would benefit from being featured, please encourage them to get in touch with me at hello@iamkdk.uk.

When I approached a charity that supports children affected by self-harm and emotional well-being about joining my Resources page, I also mentioned that I’d love to write a storybook especially for them. That’s where this next chapter began.

The result was Barnaby the Worry Monster, a story created to support the charity’s work. Along the way, I was also fortunate to meet an incredibly talented illustrator, Sam Cook. Sam has brought both Bennie Bear and Barnaby to life with her wonderful illustrations, and we’re only just getting started—there are many more stories to come.

For every copy of Barnaby the Worry Monster sold, I donate £1 directly to the charity, helping them continue the incredible support they provide to children and families.

Barnaby’s journey is only just beginning. I’m currently writing books for several other charities, with each story designed to raise awareness and provide ongoing support to children. It’s an incredibly exciting time, and I can’t wait to share these new partnerships and stories with you as they come to life throughout the year.

I hope I haven’t overwhelmed you with everything that’s been happening so far in 2026! There are so many exciting projects in the works, and I’d love for you to follow the journey. Keep an eye on my social media pages, where you’ll see everything unfold as it happens.

We’re also launching a special newsletter just for Dragon Club members, so you’ll be the first to hear about new books, exciting charity partnerships, behind-the-scenes updates, and a few surprises along the way.

Enjoy the summer holidays. I hope you have lots of fun, make wonderful memories, and, of course, keep reading!

I’ll be back in touch again soon.

Until then, take care and happy reading!
